The UAE SWAT Challenge 2023 continued on its third day, with the Officer Rescue event being the highlight of the day. The event saw five-man teams consisting of four assault team members and one sniper competing to rescue a hostage from a simulated hostile environment. The event was attended by numerous officials and senior officers, including retried His Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, and Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri.
After a day filled with intense competition, the top three winners of the Officer Rescue event were announced:
1st Place: AKHMAT from Russia with 55 points
2nd Place: Sharjah Police Team B with 54 points
3rd Place: Abu Dhabi Police Team B with 53 points
All teams demonstrated excellent teamwork, coordination, and quick decision-making skills, making the competition tight and exciting until the very end. The judges were impressed by the teams’ professionalism, precision, and discipline.
The winning teams were awarded trophies, certificates, and cash prizes by the Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief, who congratulated all participants for their hard work, dedication, and exceptional performance during the event.
The UAE SWAT Challenge 2023 is an international event that showcases the skills and capabilities of elite police and military units from around the world. The event is designed to promote excellence, professionalism, and collaboration among law enforcement agencies worldwide.
