Dubai Police Honours winners of the Esports Tournament the 'SWAT Challenge' Edition

The Dubai Police has recently honoured the special edition of the Dubai Police Esports Tournament for the UAE SWAT Challenge 2024 SWAT Challenge.

The ceremony, held at the Al Ruwayyah field and on the sidelines of the SWAT Challenge 2024 competitions, was presided over by His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, alongside Major General Ali Atiq Bin Lahej, Director General of the General Department of Airport Security, and Major General Rashid Al Falasi, Director General of Security of Bodies, Establishments, and Emergency.
Al Ghaithi commended the teams’ efforts that worked diligently to make the esports tournament a success.

This initiative aims to support the championship’s educational objectives concerning the risks of electronically exchanging financial information and data and to disseminate awareness messages globally among Arab and foreign communities. This aligns with Dubai Police’s strategic direction to enhance security and safety.

Major Abdullah Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of the Electronic Investigations Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, announced that Team ACME clinched first place in Counter-Strike 2, followed by Team Ninjas in Kandoras. In the Valorant game, Team Oyoojn won first place, with Team Venus securing the second spot. The first-place winners in each game were awarded a cash prize of AED 15,000, while the second-place winners received AED 10,000.

In a pioneering achievement, Brigadier Obaid Mubarak bin Yarouf Al Ketbi, Deputy Director of the General Department for Security of Bodies, Establishments, and Emergency Affairs for Security of Bodies, honoured the Shahin women’s team from the UAE for securing third place in Valorant. This marks the first participation of an Emirati women’s team in the Dubai Police Esports Tournament.
