Dubai, United Arab Emirates– 4 January 2026: The National Police of the Dominican Republic has announced its historic first participation in the upcoming UAE SWAT Challenge 2026. This seventh edition of the prestigious international event is scheduled to take place from 7 to 11 February at the Training City in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai.
General Johnny Soto Abreu, Central Director of Police Operations for the Dominican Republic National Police, highlighted that the challenge serves as a significant global forum for specialised tactical units to exchange expertise and sharpen field operational skills. "Every test within the challenge is an opportunity to grow that expertise. This experience allows us to refine our teamwork, precision, and tactical readiness, which ultimately improves our rapid response capabilities back home in the Dominican Republic."
