Ahead of next Saturday’s opening signal, teams competing in the seventh UAE SWAT Challenge have stepped up their drills at Dubai’s Al Ruwayyah Training City, gearing up for the prestigious international event.

Intensive training is now underway at Al Ruwayyah Training City for teams participating in the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026. Competitors from Dubai Police, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, and more than 25 countries—including Argentina, the Solomon Islands, Serbia, Romania, the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, the Dominican Republic, Bahrain, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Chile, Bolivia, Thailand, Syria, Indonesia, Pakistan, China, Panama, Kenya, Albania, Belarus, Jordan, Qatar, and Montenegro—are fine‑tuning their skills ahead of the world‑class competition.

The Organizing Committee of the UAE SWAT Challenge confirmed that all competing teams have commenced their training under a structured, team-specific schedule. They praised the outstanding commitment and professionalism displayed by the teams as they intensify preparations for the diverse challenges of the event.

Tactical police and special operations units have underscored their readiness by arriving early in the country after conducting extensive preparatory training at home. Each unit is meticulously selecting its most skilled operators to compete, aiming to secure the highest possible results and scores in the challenge.

Teams have commenced intensive training for the five main challenges of the competition: the ‘Tactical Challenge’, ’Assault Challenge’, ‘Officer Rescue’, ‘High Tower’, and the ‘Obstacle Course’. Each event requires teams to complete missions in the fastest time possible to earn maximum points. Key tasks include precision target shooting, handling multiple weapons, evacuating heavy dummies, navigating complex obstacles, fast‑rope descents from the tower, and a range of other skill‑based drills.
